I’ve always thought that all God has to do to get the whole world to believe is to make something miraculous happen. Well, he did just that on Oct. 13, 1917. Our Lady made her final appearance to three children to whom she had appeared monthly since May of the same year. She fulfilled her promise to perform a miracle to the crowds that gathered in Fatima, Portugal. Our Lady of Fatima made the sun dance in the sky.

While the crowd that day is estimated to have been as large as 70,000 people, other reports put it at much less. And though not everyone saw the sun dance, according to witnesses, many did. They described the experience similarly. They said they were able to look directly at the sun without harming their eyes and that the sun turned into a spinning disc that spun multiple colors all over the landscape. The sun, witnesses testified, began to dart back and forth from its position in the sky. It began to hurtle itself toward the earth, only to return to its fixed position when the miracle concluded.
I can’t imagine what that must have been like. I wish God would arrange an indisputable miracle for our generation. We are in great need.
A well-done DVD is available that re-enacts this apparition.

I am hoping to bring more knowledge about the Virgin Mary to the world, especially during these times when we need her most.
